INT. ART FUNDAMENTALS ROOM
The art fundamental students have a large room to
themselves; filled with artist desks that adjust to the
required height needed to draw. Most desks are clean, but
some have drawings of drapes or fruit taped on them. Art
supplies litter the floor while a statue of a mother holding
her child sits in the corner. There is also a sink with
empty bottles with paint brushes sticking out of them.
Shelves adorn the back of the room, holding various art
supplies and drawings. Two of the walls are covered in
paintings from past artists, such as Salvador Dali, Picasso
and MC Escher. The last wall, the wall by the hallway, has
windows so that other students can see the artwork being
made as they pass them in the hall. Minami sits at her desk,
books piled around her, opened to human anatomy references.
She is the only one in the room. She leans in to draw
something up close, her tongue sticking out. Suddenly, her
phone rings. She digs in her pocket for her phone, and upon
retrieving it, answers.
MINAMI
Hello?
PERSON ON PHONE
안녕하세요!
Confused, Minami looks at her phone. Remembering she doesn't
have caller ID, she puts her phone back to her ear.
MINAMI
Um... Sorry?
PERSON ON PHONE
나는 올바른 번호가있는 경우 모르겠어.
MINAMI
Uh...
PERSON ON PHONE
Oh! You not A.J. Sorry, sorry!
Sound FX: Phone makes a clicking noise, indicating the call
is over. Minami looks at her phone again.
MINAMI
<Who the heck was that?>
Stajianna enters the room, smiling. She waves at the
confused Minami, motioning her to come over.
INT. CAMPUS HALLWAY
SIGN: 'ATTENTION STUDENTS: Halloween is just around the
corner, and the city of Toronto wants YOU to make it the
best ever!'
Minami and Stajianna stand in front of the bulletin board
looking at the advertisement. There are about 10 postings of
the same contest advertisement on the board, as well as
other announcements. Minami leans in closer at the sign as
Stajianna reads aloud from a comfortable distance.
STAJIANNA
Create and visualize a Halloween
haunted house with your special
talent. Whether it be through
dance, animating, or photography or
anything else, we want to see what
YOU come up with.
STAJIANNA
The city of Toronto is giving away
a 1500$ cash prize to 5 students
who can visualize the haunted house
theme. The winning students
masterpieces will be a part of
Toronto's Haunted Mansion.
Minami turns around to look at Stajianna.
MINAMI
Holy snaps, this sounds awesome.
Stajianna giggles at Minami as she reaches forward to grab
one of the many copies of the contest information off the
bulletin board. She starts to fold the paper as she speaks.
STAJIANNA
I bet this would look great in our
portfolio. You going to enter?
MINAMI
Anything that makes my portfolio
look great, I'm going for.
Minami reaches up and grabs a sheet for herself. She then
takes another off the wall and grins at Stajianna.
MINAMI
For A.J.
INT. ART FUNDAMENTALS ROOM
Minami stands in the front of the classroom in a black pair
of shorts with a black tank top. Behind her, 4 huge sheets
of cartridge paper are tapped to the wall. On the floor is a
paint tray with brushes and red paint tubes. Stajianna sits
on a chair, cross legged, looking at her friend in a bizarre
manner.
MINAMI
You think I mixed this paint to
look like blood? Think its going to
look scary?
Stajianna looks slightly bored, waving her hand at her
friend.
STAJIANNA
Sure, sure. Just try and keep this
clean. I have a feeling I'm going
to be playing Cinderella soon.
Minami leans down to pick up a brush filled red paint.
MINAMI
Of course!
She turns around and swings her brush, red paint flying onto
the wall. Stajianna winces as she see's the paint hit the
wall, some onto the floor. Minami continues to throw paint
on the wall.
INT. CAMPUS HALLWAY
A.J is seen walking down the hallway, looking at her phone.
She walks near the windowed hallway of Minami's class where
the blinds are now closed.
A.J
What in the heck?
Written on the window in red paint are the following words:
'Question Authority.'
A.J
Question authority?
A.J stares at the graffiti for a moment before quietly
making her way to the Art Fundamentals classroom and opens
the door. Inside the room, Minami squeezes out more red
paint from the tube. Stajianna is now on the floor mopping
up the mess Minami has created, humming to herself.
STAJIANNA
Oh, Sing Sweet Nightingale.
A.J enters knocks on the door frame, then enters the room.
MINAMI
Oh! Hi A.J!
A.J slowly walks up to them, looking around the room as she
speaks.
A.J
What the heck are ya doin'?
Stajianna puts down the rag, gets up and dusts off her
cherry patterned dress.
STAJIANNA
She's making a mess, that is what
she's doing. Now I have to play
Cinderella.
A.J
Ah can see that. So, uh, Ah didn'
know that ya'll were rebels.
Minami tilts her head.
MINAMI
Eh?
A.J walks over to the windows and opens the blinds to the
hallway, revealing the message. Though it is backwards from
this angle, it is still clear on what it says.
MINAMI
Whoa!
Stajianna points to the white paper with Minami's paint
splatters.
STAJIANNA
The only writing on the wall we did
was the mess Minami made with her
paint.
MR HACHE
Miss White!
The three girls give a start and look around at the doorway,
where a very un-pleased Mr Hache stands. He turns his gaze
towards Minami and Stajianna.
MR HACHE
You two, what are your names?
STAJIANNA
Stajianna Giade.
MINAMI
Minami Kyuki, sir.
Mr Hache walks in the room, his hands behind his back.
MR HACHE
Miss White, will you tell me why
you and your... friends, defiled
school property to express
yourselves?
MINAMI
We didn't write on the wall, sir!
Stajianna nods quickly. Scowling, Mr Hache looks at Minami,
then back to the windows.
MR HACHE
Well, it doesn't matter who did it.
I expect this mess cleaned up
before classes start tomorrow.
He glances at the three girls.
MR HACHE
Make haste ladies, this mess wont
vanish on it's own.
At the last comment, Mr Hache turns and leaves the room. The
three girls look at the window in dismay.
INT. CAMPUS HALLWAY
The three girls stand in front of the window in the hallway,
each with a rag and a bucket and in the middle of cleaning.
STAJIANNA
I was expecting to play Cinderella
with you Minami, but this is more
than I asked for.
A.J rubs the forehead and looks at Stajianna.
A.J
Mr Hache has it in for me Ah swear.
Ah wouldn' be surprised if he did
this himself just to get me ta do
more work.
She bends down and wets her rag before proceeding to scrub
the window.
A.J
So, Ah was just finishing some
extra homework for my grammar
class, when Ah decided to drop in
an' see what ya'll were doing... So
uh... What were ya doin'?
MINAMI
Oh!
Minami drops her rag on the ground, a big grin on her face.
She rummages through her pocket, tongue sticking out.
MINAMI
Aha!
Happily, she hands A.J the paper she had just dug out of her
pocket. A.J Takes the folded paper and reads it.
A.J
Holy heck! 1500$ huh? Ah sure could
use that. So this was for the
contest?
Minami nods with a big smile. She then picks up her rag and
continues to rub away at the wall.
A.J
Interestin'.
MINAMI
That was just my background. Going
to make cutaways or something of
some scary stuff. I'm not sure
where I'm going with it yet. But I
figured, if I started, I'd have
something to work with and then go
from there.
A group of 5 students are seen walking down the hallway,
laughing merrily. Three are girls, 2 are boys. One of the
boys has his arm wrapped around one of the girls. He points
at the writing on the window, laughing. The girl sneers.
GIRL
Look Cyrus, maids.
Stajianna stares loathsomely at the girls remark.
CYRUS
Hazel is right girls, and you've
missed a spot.
Hazel walks next to Minami.
HAZEL
A job fitting for someone of her...
status and appearance.
Minami awkwardly looks at the ground. A.J puts a comforting
hand on her friends shoulder, speaking up.
A.J
Hey there! Ya don' know her!
CYRUS
Whatever, freckles.
CYRUS
Hey guys, this departments lame,
let's head back to the Vocal
department.
They take off down the hallway, joking amongst themselves,
disappearing around the corner.
STAJIANNA
Douche bags.
INT. CAMPUS GIRLS DORM HALLWAY
Minami and A.J wave bye to Staj in the campus dorm hallway.
A.J walks with her hands in her pocket, looking at the
ground. Minami walks next to her, paint still splattered on
her arms from earlier.
MINAMI
By the way, I think someone tried
calling you earlier, but got my
number instead.
A.J checks her phone.
A.J
Well, they didn' try an' call mine.
She places her phone back in her pocket and returns looking
at the ground.
MINAMI
I had a feeling they might not
have. They seemed very confused.
Well, they might not have been, but
I was.
A.J turns her gaze away from the ground and now onto her
room mate.
A.J
Oh yeah? How so?
Minanmi rubs her hand through her hair before answering.
MINAMI
It was some guy speaking in a
language I don't know. He spoke in
what I think was Korean. It wasn't
Chinese. I know for sure it's not
Japanese. Must be Korean. Mind you,
it could be another Asian language.
I'm like 89.7% sure it was Asian
and 81.3% sure it was Korean.
MINAMI
Yup. I'd tell you what he said so
you can confirm to me if it was
Korean, but I really don't
remember. Not even sure if I heard
it 100% correctly anyway.
A.J smiles to herself.
A.J
The way ya ramble on sometimes is
so cu-
She places a fist to her throat and clears it, looking away
to hide her sudden slight blush.
A.J
Yup. It's odd alright.
It is now Minami's turn to raise an eyebrow at A.J as they
continue to make their was down the hallway.
INT. GIRLS DORM
Minami and A.J enter their dorm room. A.J walks over to her
bed, looking in her school bag. Minami puts her paints and
brushes by her desk and goes to drop her bag by her bed. As
she leaves, a single paintbrush rolls away from the art kit
onto the floor, unnoticed by either girl.
MINAMI
Man it sucks that we had to clean a
mess we didn't make, huh.
A.J sits on her bed, taking out a notebook form her bag and
nods in agreement. Minami points to the bathroom area as she
speaks.
MINAMI
I should probably go shower.
INT. GIRLS DORM
Shot of the back of Minami, taking her shirt off, revealing
another huge scar on her back. Undressed, she enters the
shower and begins to wash off all the paint. *Note for Ryuu
here - *End note*
INT. GIRLS DORM

A.J leaves the room, entering in the bathroom area. Minami
lays unmoving on her bed, her head still looking in the
direction A.J just left. Shot of Minami's face; she is
slightly embarrassed, her face slightly turning red.

*Edit* I've changed some things in the story, to make it flow better. Also, I've changed the school from a university to a college. So, I removed some things, added some others. Oh yeah, this is going to be made into a comic, drawn by the ever most awesome *ryuuen. But I'm not entirely sure on how to write scripts for comics, so I'm writing it in film script version for now, but you get the gist of what's going on.

Oh yeah, this is going to be made into a comic, drawn by the ever most awesome *ryuuen. But I'm not entirely sure on how to write scripts for comics, so I'm writing it in film script version for now, but you get the gist of what's going on.
